supernip
Admittedly Vic, Im a bit disappointed you didn't leave that tank empty. It was aesthetically beautiful without anything in it. And a bit sadden it didn't go fwp. Although I love reefs, I sometimes feel they're a bit chaotic in comparison and I had fallen for the simplicity your tank offered Link to comment
Withers
If I knew anything at all about freshwater setups I might have considered it, but I'm hoping I can still keep this one looking as clean If only I had a nice enclosure to hide the pump and heater... Link to comment
supernip
oh you mean like a 14in tall nipsbox? Link to comment

Withers
I forgot I had this shot. All the algae in the water column is what is making the picture look soft. Link to comment
DaveFason
Vic - Once I get my new tank up and running, maybe I could have you snap some photo's. Of course if you really do work for frags. I also have a couple secret projects that would be nice to have someone that knows what there doing snap some photo's. -Dave Link to comment
Withers
Absolutely man! I do it as a hobby, I'd come up your way to take some shots either way Link to comment

Withers
Sounds good to me I think that algae is on it's last leg. I finally got a clear shot of one of the frags I picked up a few days ago. It doesn't really show up very well, but the centers are a nice bright peach color. Link to comment
cjscott
By far one of the nicest tanks I have ever seen. I remember you saying that you are doing LR only, what kind of water changes are you going to be doing and what is the fish stocking plan. Link to comment
Withers
3 small fish, lots of inverts, weekly 10% water changes. I can easily bump that to 25% per week if need be. And thanks! Link to comment
Withers
The other frag I got from the LFS. I'm hoping this one colors up some more Hmm, it looks a little underexposed on this monitor. One of the 3 "nano" urchins. His disc is about the size of a dime. Link to comment
ALNN
oo love the blue zoa keep the pictures up! how your CUC doing? maybe a FTS Link to comment
Withers
My CuC is very busy at the moment, I'm still struggling with this algae. Right when I think it's about to die off it comes back full force. I'm doing a real lights out for 3 days now. I covered the damn tank with my car cover. I think it was receiving too much natural light from the room to work before. Link to comment

Withers
It wouldn't do any good if I did, the algae would be eating them all up. I'm just trying to kill it off since I know it's not something wrong with my husbandry at this point. Nitrates are still undetectable, pH is steady and everything inside the tank is happy. ALNN
at least everything is good now the waiting game Link to comment
nUgZ
I love the new frags. I think the second has a ton of potential! Link to comment
MGDMIRAGE
Nice tank Vic, that algae outbreak you got going is really weird i've not seen one that bad and it's so weird how it comes back so fast. Also you probably mentioned but what macro lens do you have and camera? Link to comment
Withers
Yeah I think that blue zoa frag has a ton of potential. It was under old VHOs in the LFS so I'm expecting big things. I'm using a Canon EOS 40D and a Sigma 150 f/2.8 Macro lens. Link to comment
