Mr. Microscope
Okay. So, I got to work today and realized that I jumped the gun a little on taking images. The Green Implosions were fully open today! I had to take a couple more images and FTSs. Here they are: Green Implosions open FTS 2011.02.09 Top down Link to comment
Mr. Microscope
and with these your tank just got much more complete IMO, perhaps even complete if you are willing to just chill and let everything spread like you stated.I believe you on the colors, mostly because my implosions look exactly like that under RBs. They sure are something Btw those palys like to crawl all over the place so dont be surprised to see some leave the colony and go traveling across rockwork. no joke, but they are just mad slow in doing so; will probably take a month for them to move 1cm or so if they really want it however w/e that bleached little white thing is on the left, its really looking odd =/ no offence maybe its blue/ green but the camera cant show it. I'd have that toadstool eventually placed on the evo pump's propeller cage thing, and let it grow completely over the right back side, eventually covering the entire pump and blocking it from view. just my opinion. Crazy! Walking palys! IEEEE! Thanks for the comments Newman. The white thing is actually a neon trumpet coral. Yes, it did get slightly bleached during the holiday crash of 2010. It does have some color left, but the camera doesn't pick it up very well. I agree it's very distracting in images. However, it's on its way to recovery. I see it doing quite well considering. 'Plumping up during the day and plumping up more right after the lights go out and then shrinking down until the lights come on again. I've been watching it slowly split for the last month or so. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for it. Good idea with the toadstool. That pump is kinda a monster in there, and I've been contemplating hiding it somehow. That propeller cage is actually a rotation flow device. So, it's spinning around all the time. 'Couldn't put anything on it. I tried putting my purple leather on top of the pump, but it didn't fit very well and I also noticed that the pump vibrates quite a bit to the touch. I don't think anything would be very happy up there. DAYYUUMMM lookin great micro! Thanks jdl! Link to comment

Thanks Funktastic! Yeah, you may find that zoas/palys get a little smaller with LEDs than with other lights too. I've noticed that with mine and others with LEDs have pointed that out to me as well. so how long do those green ones glow in the dark for after you turn the light off . Verry cool additions Mr. M When the lights go out, they start pulsing and making scary noises. I swear I saw some teeth at one point, and maybe heard a bubbly muted, "Feed Me!" Looking good. Pretty cool to have them glow most of the time. Thanks! I think they've really added some nice structure and height to the scaping as well. new palys = wow so green!they look great and the tank looks a lot fuller good job on the free crab I'll deff stay tuned for that update you were talking about Thanks marc! I saw that crab yesterday. I swear I saw some purple on it. I looked like coralline on it's back. It's really tiny. Maybe quarter sized. Just hanging out be the green palys. They must be it's safe spot. Hopefully, it'll work up some confidence and start hamming it up on the main display. Love the new additions, Tank is looking great! Hey DulcyDoll! Long time'. Thanks for the compliment. Okay all. Since you've taken an interest in those Green Implosions, and because I wanted to post another pic of them. Here you go. They were just looking so much better today, that I couldn't help but take another image. Link to comment

Funktastic Wint
what is this daily maintenance you speak of? lol feeding? top offs? glass cleaning. an automated remote control magnetic glass cleaner would be cool. that would just constantly move on the tank all day long to keep it clean. .Newman.
thats weekly for me, i see. i gave daily mysis feeding a try for a week or more, and that just became tedious yet again (i've done that regimen on and off in the past) so props to you if youre dedicated to feed the corals everyday. Scratch that, i do feed my hermit and emerald 3 times a week with dried seaweed... Link to comment

.Newman.
lol roomba, i always thought that thing is an interesting idea. of course i never owned one so idk how much it can really do but i imagine such a magnet glass cleaner would be mad expensive xD regular dried seaweed sheets. garlic scented ones are great too, the crabs leap for joy when it hits the water lol. Funktastic Wint
Hahaha, it's a roomba for your aquarium! That would be an excellent idea. exactly what i was thinking. i little magnetic roomba. i wonder how hard that would be to make... hmmm Link to comment
.Newman.
the expenses for a casual hobbyist to make it would likely be massive lol. making a tiny one is even harder . Link to comment
Mr. Microscope
Sigh...Thanks for blowing it! Yes, Mr. Microscope has been building aquatic nano-robots to take care of tank maintenance. You can only see them with an electron microscope. I keep them in a suspension of tap water. I'll be selling them by the glass full for only $50! Any takers? That will take the fun out of Picoing <----Yeah new word I came up with Picoing? Haha! Brilliant! Let's get it rolling. Link to comment
