Beautiful tank. May I ask how you maintain your red pigment in your macro. I have given it a go with a few different types and they always look bleached and faded. I have read that means there is too much light. Regardless ice played with placement and lighting intensity and what have you.

Thanks!  I agree, lower light will create a deeper red.  I actually have my light dimmed 50%.  Supplementing fertilizer/trace elements could help.

What do you mean by "fertilizer" regular garden stuff is a mix of nitrogen phosphate and pottasium which I know is what they need but I also feel that would be I'll advised lol. When I haven't had much live stock I usually sprinkle some fish food in my refugium. They're alive, I feel the light thing is the solution. I read for chaeto people go full blast and I have a mix of chaeoto and reds.

Check out ChaetoGro (which is the fertilizer I use).

tried to up-vote, since really his sea horses are taking the lead and not his grass :P. But he does have some beautiful sea horses.

But you're killing it with JUST the Algae bro. Keep it up. Kudos.

Hi I love the tank. Been looking towards starting a macro tank and love the look of yours. Wanted to ask how you got the red algae to attach to the rock?

I just wedged the macroalgae between rocks and some have taken hold.
