Well, I am glad this thread was resurrected. It's a great idea!

 

Does anyone have any ideas on what to do for a bow front tank? I have a cadlights, which is very slightly bowed on the front panel, and wouldn't want the edges from a rectangular frame hanging off the tank.

Here is a DIY that involved a bow front. I'm sure a similar technique could be done with a cadlights.

So this is what I came up with this weekend. My DIY skills are lacking but it will do. I was thinking about getting clear fish netting from this place,

Wow...hard to believe its been more than 5 years since posting the mesh top. I noticed it finally caught on with quite a few reefers here!
