Coville
Hey Guys, Was showed your forums by a fellow reefer and thought why wouldn't I try this contest.... OK I picked up 2 AGA 2.5 picos today. 5 dollars each. I am going to be drilling them both myself. Lighting is a 2 x 13 watt power compact hood...50/50 bulbs...Tomorrow I am going to be moutning it off the wall somehow (still have to work that out) I am going to be running one pico as a refuge/sump and the other as the show. Tomorrow I am going to focus in on trying to drill the two tanks. Let's have some fun... Link to comment
cybaix
I think you need to re-read the rules.. stock is allowed to have 18w of lighting total and can't have a refuge/sump or any other kind of modifications. You are however allowed to put in a diver dan.. air bubble attachment will be debated in 250 page thread soon to come. Link to comment
red-reef
definetly the diver dan Link to comment

Daemonfly
Welcome to NR, and good luck on the contest. For drilling, you need to be pretty careful as these have very thin glass. It has to be a very nice hole, as it it has a lot of chips, those will weaken the glass (I speak from experience as I already broke one, lol). Use a diamond-dust coated hole saw or Rotozip carbide tile bit in a Dremel/RTX/Rotozip. The biggest key to a good drill job is enough water flowing to keep everything cool and to lubricate.
