Clown79
I think i have a phyto bloom. My water has a green tinge to it. Not completely green like green water but it has a tinge. Anyone have any suggestions on reducing this issue? My main concern is reading of oxygen depletion during phyto blooms. Link to comment
tanacharison
Do you have a airstone you can put in? I will get short bac blooms that sound similar when I top off my biopellets. Link to comment
Clown79
I do. Its not a vibrant green. Just a tinge. It happened in my 10g a mnth ago and went away in 4 days. Link to comment
IronChefItaly
Phyto blooms consume dissolved oxygen which can leave your system to suffocate if you do not have sufficient water agitation. Other than that, they're harmless. Link to comment
seabass
You might also consider addressing lighting (duration and/or spectrum) as well as phosphate (level and/or input). Link to comment
Clown79
Thank you. I was planning cutting the photo period and adding phosguard after my water change today. I think I have good water movement. I have my hob and my jebao. Seems like these phyto blooms aren't very common. Link to comment
