Hello

I was wondering if anyone can tell me if this Tailspot Blenny is a male or female? This is the best pic I have so far. If a better pic is needed tell me what to get and I can try again.

I don't know of any sexual dimorphism in any of the Escenius species besides actual genital papilla. Not something I'd try on such a tiny fish.

See if you can dig up the article that says male TSB have small filaments on the top and bottom of their tail while females do not. My TSB would regularly become gravid and she did not have filaments. Here's a video of a spawning pair. It's potato quality, but you can just make out the filaments on the male's tail.

Thank you everyone for your replies. I think that I have a male Tailspot Blenny as mine has a filament on the top and bottom of his tail.
