vash028
Going to go on my 3 gallon Marineland Comtour http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/281589199929?lpid=82&chn=ps&ul_ref=http%253A%252F%252Frover.ebay.com%252Frover%252F1%252F711-117182-37290-0%252F2%253Fmtid%253D1588%2526kwid%253D1%2526crlp%253D164966280387_324272%2526itemid%253D281589199929%2526targetid%253D272013064440%2526rpc%253D0.14%2526rpc_upld_id%253D98078%2526device%253Dm%2526mpre%253Dhttp%25253A%25252F%25252Fwww.ebay.com%25252Fulk%25252Fitm%25252Flike%25252F281589199929%25253Flpid%25253D82%252526chn%25253Dps%2526adtype%253Dpla%2526googleloc%253D9014236%2526poi%253D%2526campaignid%253D714348682%2526adgroupid%253D36536579279%2526rlsatarget%253Dpla-272013064440%2526gclid%253DCMWXtLiBudECFYm2wAodquYCcg%2526srcrot%253D711-117182-37290-0%2526rvr_id%253D1151762991713&ul_noapp=true Link to comment
Partially Submerged
No idea about this particular light - Chinese import obviously, but then again most are. For a 3g, you might want to get a Par 30 instead. I have the Coral Compulsion 14 W Reef Vibrance over a 3g Picotope and really like it. It's quite a bit more expensive, but it comes with a 3-year warranty. Link to comment
vash028
Ya trying to figure out who makes good bulbs now. Link to comment

The lamp alone is $69.95 Link to comment
Clown79
Coral compulsion makes good par 30's and 38's. Full spectrum, dimmable, warranty, and a lot of options. Rapid Led is another good company Link to comment
vash028
Ya I just saw that leaning on the coral compulsion Link to comment

The lamp alone is $69.95 Woah! Well, in that case Coral Compulsion all the way! They stand behind their products, and their bulbs make beautiful light. Not to mention that "CREE LEDs" in the no-name bulb on ebay likely means Cree factory rejects. Link to comment
vash028
I'm going to be able to adjust the height so which bulb should I get? Link to comment
Clown79
That depends on the look you like. I'd definitely go full spectrum dimmable. 14k and up. Link to comment
Muraki
Good choice on Coral Compulsion. Excellent customer service. They stood by the 3 year warranty with very few questions asked with one of my bulbs. Link to comment
vash028
Would the 35w dimmable be a good choice I'd have to dim it down quite a bit but like the full spectrum. Link to comment
Clown79
I thought they had the par 30 in full spectrum? You can dim it down, have it higher up from the tank surface. Link to comment
evilc66
The 14W PAR30's aren't full spectrum really. It's more just a blue/white lamp. vash028, I would contact Coral Compulsion to verify that the 35W PAR30 is actually dimmable. The description says they are, but the specifications say they aren't. You should also ask about the 24W PAR38's. I honestly think they have a better LED color combination than the 35W PAR30. Link to comment
Alexervin239
I'm not sure about this light specifically but I know that you can get a Coral Connection par 30 LED on amazon for about the same price. It may be too much power for your setup. https://www.amazon.com/Coral-Compulsion-Par30-Vibrance-Light/dp/B0099UINTM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1484325956&sr=8-1&keywords=coral+par30 This may be a good option as well, a lot cheaper than the ebay version and you've got Amazon's customer service standing behind the product if you have any issues. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00CXTZN2Q?psc=1 Link to comment
Clown79
I'd go with the 24 watt full spectrum par38. Link to comment
