Teebo
I have a few various size rimless bowfront tanks, no front corner seams it is a single bent piece of glass. Without doing the polarization test what do you guys think about these tanks? If they needed to temper it to make the front and sides out of a single piece, and the bottom...why not just do the back tempered as well? I need to drill holes in the back for you know what.... CaptJab
There are ways to check using polarized glasses or iPad screens. A quick google search should show you the techniques. Link to comment
Clown79
On their site it should list if the glass is tempered. A lot of the smaller tanks aren't. Link to comment

CaptJab
Do you not trust the polarization test? You're admitting that information is hard to get on them so why not go that route? Link to comment
reefone
The polarized sun glass trick works. If you are not sure how to see if the glass is tempered put the glasses on and go look at the windows on your car. They are tempered and if you look at them at an angle you will see sort of like swirls in the glass. Or you can just hope it isn't tempered and put the drill to it. You will find out real fast if it's tempered or not. Link to comment

squamptonbc
Nat Geo tanks are not really a brand. Petsmart paid to use the Nat Geo name on products, so the chances of finding out who built the tank is likely pretty slim. OP: Have you attempted to contact Petsmart at all to see if they know? Or contact the company and they will tell you Link to comment
