Are my Xenias dead?

I have a 30g tank and have been battling cyno bacteria and recently starting using chemi-clean. It works great for the cyno, cleared it up but my coral still shut, limp And a lavender gray color. I'm not sure how to help them!

Something is in there pissing them off but we need a lot more information about the tank with some pictures if you can. Water parameters, lighting, maintenance, etc.

When in doubt do a large water change.

I'm just worried because my water parameters are great except.... I just found out my KH is at a 6 so I started using aquavitro 8.4 to get the ph back up. Idk if that's what's causing them to be so angry with me but they sure are grumpy lil fellas right now.

Ph changes are no good if drastic. What was your ph before? In a tank I'm assuming with little hard corals I would stick to just water changes on a 30 until you can measure daily losses of calcium or dkh.

Xenia does really poorly with low alk. I would get that number up ASAP.

Xenia is pretty hardy but get pretty ticked eith changes.

Stellablue is right. Xenia responds poorly to low alk(most corals do).

I'm not sure why you are altering your ph, its not advised to muck with ph, it chsnges throughout the day.

What you need is a 2 part doser for ca and alk.

Waterchanges are great for replenishing elements but if your corals are using up elements in between them, you need to dose to keep those numbers stable.

That means you need to test 2hrs after waterchange, test the next day to see if theres any change in parameters. If not keep testing until there is. Once you know how much/how often your parameters are changing then you can dose accordingly.

Example. My tank needs dosing every other day for alk, ca, and mag or else by the time its Waterchange day my 15g would have very low numbers.
