frootbat
I started a new little mushroom tank, a 3 gallon Marineland Contour, and was using a 6w blue/10k wavepoint LED, but the shrooms seemed to shrink up, as if there was too much light. I tried moving the light as far from the water as the clamp would allow, but no change. So I got the 3 watt version, and my mushroom looks like this: Does this mean the light is not quite strong enough? Or is this "happy" mushroom behavior? If necessary, I will get a new light, it's just hard to find something for a pico that isn't too pricey. Here is an FTS if that helps: Link to comment
Clown79
If the mushroom is open, its fine. A shriveled up mushroom either means too much flow or too much light. Most mushrooms don't require high light Link to comment
