Hello lads, sorry to bother you all but I've recently had a very hard time finding lights for my upcoming aquarium. So I live in the UK and finding stuff which is related too reefing is impossible.

Now, this is when it gets a little tricky, The lights I want to get are the Aquamaxx nemo 36 which I can only find from Marine depot which sadly enough is an American company so It's like an additional £200 to order to UK. I have found another website which is from UK, so ordering won't be a pain.

I'm totally confused the 2 different websites have 2 different names for the lights!

Marine depot - Aquamaxx nemo 36 , http://www.marinedepot.com/AquaMaxx_NemoLight_AquaMarine_LED_Fixture_With_Controller_Lighting_Supplies_for_Saltwater_Reef_Aquariums_LED_Strips_Lights-AquaMaxx-UJ94548-FILTLS-vi.html

UkmarineLighting - E shine Nemo 36 , http://www.ukmarinelighting.co.uk/e-shine-nemo-36-marine-led-lighting-system-307-p.html

They look completely identical but I'm not sure if they are both different in working matter.

Any help would be much appreciated

Cheers

I would email the company and ask if the "Eshine" Nemo they're selling is a genuine aquamaxx product....

At first glance it seems like a knockoff version calling it "eShine". Also there is a logo on the eshine version saying it's from the "aqua fresh series" which I've never heard of.

Can you try other countries closer to you and see if shipping is any cheaper? Maybe email Aquamaxx as well and ask where you can order it in the UK? They might be able to help you.

Could be a rebranded version. Sometimes a company acquires rights to use someone else's product and they slap their name on it. I'd say it's worth a try if the return policy allows it.

Tmr brings up a valid point. It also depends on where the manufacturer country of origin is etc.

There are different stipulations in every country on safety etc.

One manufacturer can build a product to be sold under different names in different countries.

I have the same light except I'm in Cda. Exact specs as the one from Marine depot

We asked AquaMaxx for clarification. The NemoLights produced for the AquaMaxx brand are built to their specifications, with a custom mix of LED diodes and a custom layout that is geared more toward reef aquaria (in the case of the AquaMarine models). The controller also features programming specific to AquaMaxx brand. In short, NemoLights not sold under the AquaMaxx label may feature a different LED array and programming. It may even be a copycat fixture from another factory altogether. Tough to say for sure, but we were curious once we saw your post so we thought we'd share what we learned after doing some digging.
