Rueda
Good evening, I am currently in the process of purchasing all the required equipment for my new set up. As far as the lighting goes I am a bit stuck. I want to go LED for my fish with coral tank. You guys have any suggestions? Link to comment
asting
What size tank, what type of coral, what budget? Link to comment
burtbollinger
After DEEP research of 3 months, I was down to buying either a: Radion x15 or x30: http://ecotechmarine.com/products/radion an AI Prime: http://www.aquaillumination.com/lighting/prime/ or an AI Hydra 26 : http://www.aquaillumination.com/lighting/hydra/ or a Nanobox Duo M: http://nanoboxreef.com/duo.html After even more and deeper research for the past week, I ordered the Nanobox Duo today. So...if you feel like not spending the next 3 months obsessing an searching....I think I'd find the Nanobox in the size you need and order it. Link to comment
Clown79
It really depends on the size of the tank and the corals you plan, as well as budget. Link to comment
Rueda
the tank a 30gal and coral I was thinking LPS (I hear best for beginners) budget 250 The Nanobox looks great, I m assuming I would have to remove my hood which currently holds a fluorescent lighting. Link to comment
burtbollinger
I think this guy at Nanobox also does retrofits existing hoods....might be worth a look. For a 30, I think I'd recommend the Nanobox Duo, but with your budget, I bet you could get away with the single. Some LPS don't need a ton of light... http://www.nano-reef.com/topic/360022-nanobox-all-in-one-retro-install-video-and-pricing/ Link to comment

I sell a kit that would fit inside this as well. No need to get rid of the hood. They are also on special now. You would need the large retro. -Dave Link to comment
