GSP Skin "Peeling"

I have had a small sheet of GSP on the back wall of my tank for the past month or so and It's doing great... I think. It is encrusting and has great PE, I am concerned because the top light purple layer is peeling away and leaving behind a deep purple layer underneath at the bottom of the sheet, where the deep purple is, there is no polyp extension. Does anyone know what this could be or how i could possibly stop it? I'll get a pic up asap

It could be spreading or it could be declining. Gsp likes a lot of light. Depending on light source, that could be it. Not enough flow on it may be another issue for decline.

What is your alk levels? Are they stable?

It's closer to the light then any other coral in the tank (kessil a160we at 70%) In direct flow. I'm pretty sure it's alk, dosing manually is a pain and I'm afraid it's effecting the coral, I'm doing a 30% wc Sunday and starting next week I'm gonna start using kalkwasser, I dose it all the time at work so I'm very familiar with it, I think that should help my tank emmensly

It may not be the method of dosing but maybe fluctuations.

That's kinda what I meant, I'm afraid my dosages are off by just enough to make the fluctuations in the levels a bit too much
