Bluefish Controller with Saltwater Conversion Marine Pac 3

I have Saltwater Conversions' Marine Pac 3 and the Bluefish controller. The fan on the top of the Marine Pac 3 light is always on, even during the night. The lighting controlled by the Bluefish controller seems to work fine. I did change the Bluefish controller circuit board from 10V to 5V, as specified by Marine Pac 3's instructions. Actually, the fan seemed to be working fine until I shut the power off for a bit, and now the fan is always on. I'm not sure why the fan is not responding to the Bluefish controller settings (i.e., the settings say 0% and the fan is still running at what appears to be full speed). Any help would be appreciated.

turn it up to about 15% at night. its normal for it to run at full speed when set to 0%its some sort of safety feature

Thanks. Unfortunately, I don't think that worked. The fan seems to run at the same speed regardless of what percentage setting I have it at.

The fan pwm is hardwired to the white channel ch1 pwm. So if you lower the whites the fan should also lower the speed accordingly. unfortunately the systems is very delicate, so if you had some voltage spikes in your power mains or some water in the light connector you may have damaged the controls.

try using another bluefish port / channel and test if that is still OK. If not the driver may be the issue.

Also make sure you have lunar cycles switched off
