Kahmu84
Alright so like i posted in my tank thread, i got all my dry rock, and my live sand, i just did a quick in tank Aquascape that I like. I plan to have some acans/ and zoas, possibly some LPS and eventually may try my hand with a clam. I had some left over Rock that i can break down or use in my sump/fuge planning on running chaeto in there. FTS shot: 3/4 angle from where my desk is Left over rock pieces any ideas/critiques and what not is wanted, I'm willing to play around with it to get a nice scape and functionality Link to comment
reeferbrownies
If the rock scape isn't pushed all the way back push it as far back as possible. I have a 20 long and without doing so the front seems really cramped. Also I would try to make shelves with the shelf rock. Just my $0.02 Link to comment

Just my $0.02 Thanks, i will probably do that as the center area is not all the way to the back, and i was trying to figure out how to make some shelves, i may need to break some of the rock to be able to do that Link to comment
Clown79
I like the rock work, the scape is nice. I actually prefer space in the back and front. It gives better water movement, less dead zones, less areas for detritus to get trapped. The closer the rocks are to the back, the less likely you can get to cleaning back there. Link to comment
righttirefire
I have a 20 long. My mistake is the "archs" I lost a lot of coral space. I like the "depth" the front left rock with the torch and the zoa rock front center help. But the slight "v" with the 2 rocks arching killed a lot of space This is a old picture but a good reference for my rockscape Link to comment

Kahmu84
Alright so i have pics from a re work of the rock that i enjoy even more than my original try i uploaded them to a imgur galler to make it easier and less time to upload http://imgur.com/a/fOOdB Link to comment
do not smoke the reef(er)
Looks good. I would just try adding a little more depth by position rocks a little differently. Helps out with over all asthetics and will give you more surface area for coral placement. Link to comment
Alexervin239
Try to make the rock work less dense. To me it's got a lot of potential, but it looks a bit like a wall. This can be a good thing if you make it astheticslly pleasing with coral placement but it makes it a little more challenging. Look up the rule of thirds, it's a good rule when taking photos to make them look natural. The rule would apply just the same to aquascaping Link to comment
Kahmu84
I'll try to move stuff around a bit but with how it's currently set up is the most stable set up Link to comment
Kahmu84
alright here a new scape i did that i think opened up more room corals and less like a wall Link to comment

Kahmu84
Have you got this up and running? Wanna see what it looks like filled Hey heres a link to my aquarium page, it has pics up through a majority of the build, and has a pic with the tank filled and lighting on for the pic, granted, I will need to take time when i start stocking to find out how exactly I want the light to be. http://www.nano-reef.com/topic/375465-kahmus-20g-long-filled-up-and-starting-to-cycle/ Link to comment
Sea_Of_Treachery
To be honest it just looks like a pile of rocks. You really should look around on the forums for some inspiration and maybe youtube? Just a suggestion. I think you could do without 5+ or so pounds of what you have. Utilize those shelf pieces and get your creative juices flowing! Link to comment

Utilize those shelf pieces and get your creative juices flowing! It has changed up a bit over since those pics have been taken. I'm out of town so my latest pic on my aquarium par isn't even the most current look, And it will be updated and probably changed up a bit more. So if you want to follow the changes more and build of my tank follow the link above to my tank page Link to comment
