Decided to try the IM 25 Lagoon due to the depth dimensions

Here is the plans so far.

Tank: Innovative Marine 25 Gallon Fusion Lagoon ✔️

Lighting: Ecotech Marine Radion XR15W Gen 3 Pro ✔️

Light Mount: Ecotech Hanging Kit DIY lowes ✔️

Controller: Apex Jr. with PM1 module for Ph ✔️

Doser: Jebao DP3

Heater: Eheim Jager 75w aquatop 75w heater ✔️

Pump: Stock or upgrade to Sicce 1.0

Wavemaker: Gyre or mp10qd or 2x Jebao PP4 ✔️

ATO: Tunze Nano ATO ✔️

Media Basket: 1 IM Custom Caddy ✔️

At the moment I have purchased the stand, light, and tank.

Here is how it currently sits. The top will have to cut down to match the cabinet. but it will be flush with no overhang.

Following along. Are you going to go bare bottom with this tank or are you planning on having sand?

I'm currently debating this currently. While bare bottom was easier to clean, it did look out of place with just the rock and corals. Seeing some of the aquascapes folks have been doing recently with sand and rocks makes me want to try it again.

Cut the top.

Also picked up an aquatop 75w heater and 1 media basket. I'm thinking just running one media basket. While the the other side run the sock filter.

Currently tying to find out alternatives to hanging kit from ecotech.

picked up some Live Rock (maybe dry depends on when i can get water in the tank) from a local reefer breaking down his tank.

not bad for a aquascape. Going to pick up some Sand tomorrow and and some salt.

I am running an MP10 in mine it is the less invasive of the three as far as tank space taken up in the DT. The gyre 130 might be way too much flow for this tank. A single pp4 would be good two would take up a lot of room. I am extremely happy with the MP10 provides plenty of flow and takes up very little space and no wire hanging out of my DT.

Nice cabinet!

I need to get a new top for my stand since the piece of counter top I got from Menards has started to sag. Are you worried at all about the top you picked sagging at all? Do you know what it's made out of?

Thanks! I am going to try a single pp4 or a single pp 8. at the moment that price is too good pass up. While i love the mp10.(had it on the im 20) the price at 285(new) is a bit disappointing. I get it that its american made, and i want to support american made products but at the end of the day its about value and what i can stretch my budget out. might just end up getting a used one down the line.

Thanks. at the moment no. The top is supported pretty good. Like most stands its made out of MDF. So at the end I just have to be cognizant on not getting it wet or get is soaking with water. Hard to do in this hobby but it is doable.

ok. I lied 1 picture. sent the wifey to the local fish store to get 20 gallons of salt water to start the cycle / and to make sure the rock does not dry up.

will add sand later once i do a water change.

may want to rethink the PP4

i'm really not happy with mine, i can't dial it down low enough.. i guess the wifi one would work alot better IMO

Thanks. Yea i ended up with 2 pp4's. lucky for me i am still debating barebottom or sand. i'll try it out with 2 and try to dial it down. if its too strong. i'll try with one. and move one pp4 to my daughters tank.

The stand is actually a Ikea Kitchen Cabinet, I found in their clearance section. but its similar to this. http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/S69034601/

and the door and top are the same. basically two doors. and i used one for the top.

I really like the stand, were you concerned about the weight of the tank filled? if so did you do any modification to reinforce it?

I am looking to reinforce it but at the moment it is doing fine without bowing. since the the frame and and the tank are exact dimension the brunt of the weight is going down the sides. At least that is my thinking. also i figure this is a kitchen cabinet, it sound be designed to stand the weight of the stone/marble countertop. which weighs about the same.
