Right now I'm thinking sponge, or tunicate. However, that may not be the case. Whatever you have, it's interesting. Link to comment

I agree with Ray. it looks like some sorta sponge. does it have any large orifices ? if its a sponge, then its got an Osculum somewhere, thats a large hole where water flows outward. if its a tunicate its going to have two primary orifices which work like siphons.
