Fluval Evo 13.5 Gallon not filling up all the way?

i know with my IM its not supposed to be filled to the top.

The chamber with the return pump, usually isn't full, there usually a difference in water level from this chamber to the others, this chamber is where the water level also goes down due to evaporation, which needs topping up daily.

Can you post a pic of the chambers?

Check out videos on YouTube.

Well the chambers are about all half way full . Tanks is filled up to the honey comb design on the top of the tank. So the filter sponge and the carbon media never get into contact with the water its supposed to be. I don't think I can post picture direct here can I?

When posting a direct pic, use the full version not mobile.

Go to more posting options, then choose and attach.

The water level must be a bit above the honeycomb.

Is the water level half way up the intake grill?

Check out a video on youtube

I'd love to get this tank. its sweet looking

It really is a nice tank. The pump that comes with it is pretty good. Provides roughlys 130~GPH for the tank. Added a Hydor Nano 425 on the opposite end of the tank pointed up for water/air agitation and a bit more water flow. Currently housing a Gladiator clownfish and a RBTA and so far no issues that I can think of.

So i got this aquarium 3 days ago, everything is good except the motor. it was making ALOT  of noise, so i figured i had put it too close to the glass. i turned power off and moved it over a bit, but when i turned it back on, nothing. i heard a hum but nothing. when i open it so i can see the impeller, and touch the impeller, it starts. but as soon as i put the little impeller cover on again, it stops.... help?

So, I just set up my tank today, I'm having this same issue.  My main tank is 80% full but my filter compartment is about 60% full which isn't enough water to cover my heater.  I don't 'need' the heater today but am fearful the something is wrong that will either mean I'll end up with a burned up pump, leak or hurt my live sand, and soon to be purchased live rock before I even get to fish stage..  Call me stupid but I don't see where to post a picture or I would.  I see insert image from URL but alas it's not a web based picture.
