Chemiclean loss?

I believe it killed my frogspawn. Anyone ever experience this situation?

Dosed properly, added an air stone, and have done two 25% water changes, but my frogspawn has still be completely closed since dosing.

I saw my peppermint shrimp on top of the frogspawn yesterday ripping bright green chunks out of it. Is it dead?

Gracias

Maybe your peppermint shrimp killed it? They are known to get a taste for coral. If you see signs of infection like brown jelly, I would do an iodine dip, or maybe do one anyways.

I haven't heard of the product causing issues if properly used. The coral closing can be common.

Peppermints can go after corals. mine tore 3 brains to the skeleton. I'll never put them in any tank again.

Check to see if there is brown jelly and treat it immediately.

No brown jelly. Just look totally contracted. Maybe it is a coincidence it just happened to close up the morning after using the chemiclean.

Thanks for the responses. Maybe I'll try to catch the shrimp and take him back.

It closed up once after a after a water change, but I had mistakenly brought up the salinity.

It actually started to open up a small amount this weekend after another 25% water change.

I don't think it is the peppermint shrimp. I haven't seen him on it, and it at least looks like it is coming out a small amount. Going to do another water change this week and see where it is at.

Such a hardy coral, I'm surprised it is closed when everything else is thriving.
