cnseekatz
I've got a colony of gorgeous Hallucination palys. I bought the original polyp from VW Reefs in San Diego (www.vwreefs.com), and it has exploded in my tank. I've fragged many singles over the past year or so, but the colony has continued to grow. It's now up to about 25 adult polyps (plus an undetermined number of babies). I'm tired of fragging it, so I want to sell the colony as a while. WYSIWYG Singles sell easily for $100. For the 25(+) polyp colony, I'm asking for $1,500. That's 40% below market value. Link to comment
Reef Miser
Hallucinations seems like a pretty good name for these. You must be seeing something that I'm not. Are the two Aiptasia included with the sale? Link to comment
ReefWeeds
Geez, guys - if you don't want to buy them, move on. No need for that crap. Link to comment

Are the two Aiptasia included with the sale? Haven't seen designer corals or prices lately? Do yourself a favor... don't go to any shows, or look at dealer websites. Geez, guys - if you don't want to buy them, move on. No need for that crap. Haha... it's okay. I literally sell these things in hours when I post singles on my local board. Link to comment

I never knew where they went!! Link to comment
cnseekatz
This is the original polyp I purchased at MAX in April of 2015. Here's a shot of the colony from a couple months ago, you can see how fast they grow: Link to comment
cnseekatz
Here's another shot where you can see how the color/pattern transitions as the polyp matures: Link to comment
Horerczy
A photo with a lot of blue light (light nearly pure actinic) might help since a google search only turns up shots of hallucinations under such. I've personally have no love for designer corals but I wish you good luck in this sale. Link to comment
uwharrie
They are pretty. I am WAY too new to the hobby to go with these designer corals. But if folks want them and are willing to pay for them what the heck is the harm Link to comment

Yeah, I know that I can manipulate the lighting or hyper-saturate in post-production to make these things look crazy, but I prefer to shoot under normal lighting conditions. It gives you a more honest depiction of the of the coral... for better or worse... this is exactly what these guys look like! keep fragging if, you easily make a killing selling singles If no one wants the colony, then I will. I'm just hoping to find a shop owner or dealer who wants to propogate. Link to comment

Personally I appreciate the way you do your photos and wish more coral sellers would do things that way. It's just difficult for some people to verify the appearance without that ghastly oversaturated blue look. As I said in the previous post glws. Link to comment
