Nuvo 10 question

So I was doing a leak test on my new tank and I was unsure of where I should be running the water level in the sump. This is my first aio. Should the baffle between the 2nd and 3rd chambers be fully submerged, or should it be run lower than that? Thanks for the help!

I have mine running lower with the 3rd chamber containing my ATO. This is primarily because my skimmer is in chamber 2 and it can cause the water level to flucuate.

The 3rd chamber (pump chamber) should be lower than the 2nd chamber (skimmer chamber). I was told by IM if the pump chamber is higher than the skimmer chamber, the skimmer water level will be too high.

The third chamber cannot be higher it can only be the same or lower.

I run mine about 1" lower but that caused microbubbles so I placed a piece of sponge on the baffle to disperse the water fall. That fixed the microbubbles as I have a front intake on my AQ1200 return replacement.

It is best to run the system and see what your return pump and overflow likes. If you have an ATO always turn it off if you plan on disrupting the water at all.

I use my ATO in my third chamber. I had the same question as you. So first is the basket, second is the "skimmer" and t hird is your heater and whatnot, htat is the one that changes and will be the one you keep at a sp ecific level. its the only chamber that will alter depth.

If you don't have a skimmer, then it helps add oxygen to the water if there's a small waterfall into the variable height chamber
