I had considered going LED again, but wanted to try a MH bulb for once. Found this used one for a great deal and really like the look. Just miss the ramp up and down, and Blues do not pop as much.

So I traded a hunk of Gorg and my finger biteing clown for a 40G drum for water mixing last night. I think having a lid will be nice compaired to my 30G Brute trash cans. However, I may miss the wheels too much and might use this for RO/DI water.

Yikes, no update for a month....well that actually seems about right.

 

Finally went after the rock crab that had been picking off snails slowly, but it was getting too big for my comfort and could have easily grabbed a few of the tank inhabitants. However, that means I pulled out all the rocks and reorganized a bit. Will have to get new pic tomorrow when the sand clears.

 

Also by MH bulb burnt out last week, and I just got in a new one. Went from 20K to a 14K Phoenix.

 

in other news I am part of the secret santa on here, and received some nice things today.

Reef Chili, HexiDiscs coral frag plugs, Flipper, beer coosie, and APBreed TDO food.

The food is the one thing I am most interested to try as I have been feeding frozen for so long as many will not eat flake/pellets. If this works I can put in my auto feeder and not have to worry so much when I go on vacation.

I like the look of this much better with the 14k Phoenix bulb.

I always liked that bulb over my own tanks as well, and it looks like you're getting better polyp extension on the Leathers with it.

Is that fish a foodie or preggers?

Radial filefish looks great - I liked the personality of the one I had, but alas had to trade him back to the store for fear he would munch my zoas.

I also like the 14K bulb more, but I have to admit these were taken with an actual camera and not my cell for once. So pic quality and color are better represented.

 

As for the Neon Goby, it is the only one I have and always seems to be fat. I thought it was harboring eggs for a while but since it never goes down, I am guessing it's just eats until it can't find food any longer.

 

The top toadstool is not actually reaching, It was pissed off as the rock was bumped and it started to get crushed between 2 rocks.
