Nanoreefwanabe
Well it has been two years since my tank died and it has been sitting idle in the corner of my dining room with nothing more than evap top up with straight tap water. .. so I fully gutted the tank. .. full vinegar bath for everything, rocks err left to cook for a couple weeks in a bucket of saltwater with power head.. all sand rinsed and washed about 25 times. ... sump drained and cleaned...purigen regenerated... New bag of seachem "Seagel" thrown in sump. ..a New gas pipe light arm with soon to be par 38 full spectrum bulb. ..a shot of vodka and put it all back together. .here's hoping my lights don't blow up again and wipe out what was likely a couple thousand in coral... here's to new beginnings. and its former glory...RIP. More pics to come once light gets here..i dont imagine I will have much of a cycle since my rock is 7 years old 5 Quote Link to comment
HammerLover
Wow! another pico build! you'll soon get it back to its former glory! It could even be better. May I know what kind of wavemaker and pump is that? And size of the tank 2 Quote Link to comment
Nanoreefwanabe
The pump I believe is just a koralia 425..I will be putting my mp10 in there if I can get it to work on the curved glass if not I will have to buy a jeabo wp 25 or the rw 15... it is a 5g tank and the sump is a12x12x12 cube I made. .. it runs about 1/2 full. .. HammerLover
Cant wait for this setup! My setup is still fairly new so we can both watch our little picos mature and grow into a glorious tiny reeef BTW what corals are you planning to keep? Quote Link to comment
Nanoreefwanabe
Hoping to keep every thing I had last time. .. mainly softies... love sea whips and gorgs, along with Kenya and Colts. .. May get some Duncan's again. . And I want one piece of red sps and one purple sps... and that is about it. .. and a bunch of zoas to clean up the bottom As soon as my lights get here my tank should come around pretty quick as I don't expect a cycle with 7 year old rocks 1 Quote Link to comment

Did you get the MP 10 to work? If not yet... IMO I wouldn't risk the money and find out it doesn't work on the curved glass. I have heard of people not getting them perfectly lined up and them making a lot of noise. I suspect that's what the outcome will be. May be wrong though! Quote Link to comment
Nanoreefwanabe
I haven't got the bearings yet. . Somewhere in the mail system... but when I do I suspect the same thing. ..I will most likely end up buying a rw 4 or 8 Quote Link to comment
Nanoreefwanabe
Well it has been quite some time since my last post... Only Updates include replacing rw4 with an sw2... and reducing light to 6 hours a day and feeding with fuel and reef roids... other then that just filling up with corals... pics in a bit when I figure out how to upload or host them... Stupid photobucket!! 3 Quote Link to comment

Friendly
wannabe, that's amazing!!! also, photobucket has screwed the pooched and requires expensive membership fees in order to host or link to your photo's. everyone is fleeing to Imgur and Flikr and such now. Quote Link to comment
