Acros look different in each tank depending on lighting, nutrients, amount you feed, etc. not to mention, many sellers will market similar corals under different names. So your best bet is to ask the seller for proof of where they obtained their colony from. Link to comment

No there are so many variations it would be impossible from a pic. IMO the names are stupid and are really just for marketing purposes. If your looking for the scientific there are some online resources. But as stella pointed out the same coral will look different in different tanks. Link to comment
