Anyone seen the zoo med 50 gallon low boy frag tanks? I just purchased one and I'm trying to decide on lighting. The dimensions are 48x24x10. Would 2 kessil a160we's cover it or would it be a stretch? I mostly just keep zoas. Im also open to other suggestions that arent way too pricey

If you are going for a frag tank and don't care about looks you can get cheap T5 fixtures on amazon and throw in some T5 or LED conversion bulbs. Thats the price saving mode IMO but if you want ascetically pleasing fixtures Kessils look great and you can just look up the spread and fit it to what you plan on stocking in the tank (SPS,LPS,softies, anemone)

I dont plan to use it as a frag tank. Just a shallow reef. I think I'll try 2 Kessils because i love how small they are and if I absolutely need a 3rd il get it.

If I were you I would get 4x Kessil A80's instead of A160's. Will be cheaper and light the tank better. A80's come out in 8 days.

These might be the most amazing lights since metal halides were discovered but I am a firm believer in tried and true and brand new aint tried and true IMO ... just saying

How is it brand new? Kessil just took the hybrid dome/reflector on the AP700 and put it on a smaller puck. It's already been proven that the AP700 blows 2x A360's in spread and coverage out of the water.
