Clown79
You have to be careful with additives. If you can't test it or don't, most will advise don't add it. Maintenance, dedication, weekly waterchanges, vacuuming sand, testing will always be advised, its the key to success. I have had a spin stream for over a yr. Its never gotten stuck. Its supposed to be cleaned by a water/vinegar soak. Do a lot of research on the products you use. See others experiences from their use. Link to comment
Coreyg93
http://www.redseafish.com/reef-care-program/ I do all of the Redsea programs except for algae managment. it's all scientifically proven and has given me great results but yes it can be a bit expensive and probably a bit overkill. But testing and all is just another part of the hobby. just my opinion. Link to comment
ajmckay
So it sounds like you pretty much have your bases covered. Making any changes is totally up to you but might not be a bad idea to simply let things play out for a while. Get some good coral growth and when you're ready you can revise your reef goals and move up into some more advanced corals. Link to comment
