What is it? What's on it? Should I keep it?

LFS sold this as a stylophora but couldn't tell me the species. I tried searching but the most similar-looking thing I found was axinella finger sponge.

Its hard to tell. Its polyps aren't extended. It could be a stylophora or pocillopora.

 

Can't you get a pic of it in water?

Looks like an HP laptop.

I'm more of a Dell guy myself.

But I wouldn't throw it out just yet.

I've been told it could be Montipora setosa. Turns out it really is just an HP laptop. I want my $10 back!
