false wall removal and resulting silicone gaps in AP 24, issue or not?

Hi. I recently acquired what I believe is a used Aquapod 24 to be used as a home for my freshwater fish. I got it free from a relative and felt the need to remove the false wall for now. Question: Upon removing the false wall, I noticed there were six areas of gaps in the silicone and you can see most of them in the attached image.... will this missing silicone be an issue once I refill and start using the tank, or was the silicone here only used to hold and seal the false wall and chambers in place?

Thank you,

Just to update that I have the aquarium filled nearly to the rim with water and I'm going to leave it this way for a few days. So far, so good on no leaking, but would still welcome any advice anyone has. From my research here, some people in the past removed false walls and had similar gaps--- I'm just curious how well/ poorly your aquarium held up after that. One thing I've noticed is that even though they seem to call these "24 gallon", it only seemed to take 22 gal to the rim, maybe even a bit less.

Anyone??? I've searched the archives here a few times and elsewhere. Seems like folks here have done a lot of mods and surely had to remove the false wall. The question is whether or not you re-siliconed the areas removed (and details as to how you did it if so.... I know it can't be a simple patch over the gaps). I've had the AP 24 water filled nearly to the rim for nearly 24 hours now and no leaks. My stand arrives tomorrow, so that means another day before I drain this water and refill once it's on the stand. If no leaks tomorrow, should I consider it safe for long term use, or ??

the main strength of the seal will be between the glass, not in the corners . I would say if your leak test goes well then you should be safe .

Ok, thanks Bryan. Well, getting close to the 48 hour mark and still no leaks so I'm going to go ahead and drain it today, mount it on the stand, refill, and introduce the fish.
