I ordered an idip at macna and it was just delivered today. What sold me on it is that I can also test my pool (free chlorine, ph, ta, with cyanuric acid is coming soon). Took 20 seconds to test the free chlorine in my pool with no powder and drops required. I also like that the ph reading is temp adjusted. Going to a buddy's house to test the unit against salifert.

 

Sure it was $200 (macna special) but each Hanna is around 50 bucks so it adds up quick.

 

Also they are now shipping more precise calcium reagent strips as well. They sent me a standalone set earlier this week without the unit and then I got another set with the unit itself.

 

I was told my their CS that if you already have a unit you can just email them and they will send you bottles of the new reagents for free.

I saw that at MACNA as well, but I didn't realize you had to buy test strips as well for the tests...I wonder how long they'll send you free replacement reagent! Definitely interested to see how it compares to other tests, looking forward to your results!

I have been using the iDip for 6 months. Only thing I use. It is awesome.

 

Until auto testing is a reality the iDip is the way to go IMO.

anyone is having issue with their Idip 570nm Marina edition?

 

Occasionally, I get Er1 or Er2 when moving from one test to another despite I see that the device is connected to my Ipad. I know it is connected because it is listed as connected device on the app on my Ipad.
