Sweet. It really lets you watch them feed. Very smooth time lapse.

Just a side note. My Amazon Fire (Android) wouldn't play the embedded video, but it let me watch it on vimeo.com. IDK, kind of weird, works fine on my PC.

Wow!

I love these videos. So interestingly - I recently came across a 3x teleconverter + 135mm f2.8 lens. I have to be about 5ft away but I can get an area about 2.5" across to fill the entire frame! I tried using my 50mm lens on it but it was much darker due to being an f3.5.

My camera doesn't have time lapse I don't think (Nikon D60) but I'm wondering if I can download a hacked firmware or something. Or I just remote shutter every 5 seconds ! hahaha.

This video makes me want to try some cool stuff. Amazing.

Most DSLR's can use these programmable intervalometer remotes, where you simply program the shutter release schedule on a little LCD screen and the device does the rest. They're around $20-30 on Amazon, they're available for a lot of different camera makes. https://www.amazon.com/Polaroid-Shutter-Release-Control-Digital/dp/B008FBMUMM/

Unfortunately the Nikon D60 only seems to support a wireless IR remote as a shutter release, not a wired one :( Do you know anyone with another Nikon camera body that you could borrow?

These guys just used a Canon 7D, a Canon Rebel T2i, and a 100mm macro lens. It did however take a very long time to capture these all! Imagine how many duds they captured first.

In this video we have tried to show movement and the enormous chromatic beauty of corals, a kind of marine animals that despite being one of the oldest animals on our planet, are mostly unknown.

You will discover its stunning beauty, its spectacular colors and the mystery of his movements.

To capture these images it was necessary to apply the technique of time lapse as the slow movements of these animals are very difficult to see at a glance.

The use of macro lens gives a large enough vision to contemplate the huge variety of colorful species.

Photographic equipment:

CANON 7D

CANON 550D

CANON EF 100 mm 1: 2.8 L IS USM

To perform this video over 25000 photographs were made for approximately 1 year.

music: Atmostra III by Cedric Baravaglio, Jonathan Ochmann and Zdravko Djordjevic.

We like to think that with this work, we have put a small grain of sand to raise your attention about the Great Barrier Reef, one of the natural wonders of our world, endangered because of global warming and because of the industrial projects of the Government of Australia.

Yeah the D60 seems to be a little bit of an odd duck - but I got it for under $50 so I can't complain too much! The main reason I like it though is because it's compatible with pretty much every lens that Nikon makes, which is nice. I've been able to get some cheap manual lenses from eBay and the like which keeps things interesting for sure. I'll have to think of some solution!

How do you feel about a soldering iron and Arduino programming? :Dhttp://www.instructables.com/id/Easy-Intervalometer-for-Most-DSLRS/
