Will my local Mediterranean hermits, crabs and snails be okay in a nano reef setup were I shall be adding clowns, corals etc? Will they be of any harm?

Thanks

P.S Yes I have a permit to catch a couple of these little guys

Ok I did some research and found the names of the species:

Clibanarius erythropus

Pachygrapsus marmoratus

Pachygrapsus maurus

Pisania maculosa

Fasciolaria lignaria

Clanculus cruciatus

Clanculus jussieui

Buccinulum corneum

Thanks and sorry for missing such important detail before ;)

I don't know any of those off hand. There is a Pachygrapsus species, here, in the states. Omnivore. Can be predatory, I'd be careful with either of those. Grapsus is a Sally lightfoot, and they can be pretty untrustworthy, as well. So, I'd treat them about the same as a Sally lightfoot.

I recognize the name Clibanarius as a hermit crab genus. Prolly, ok. Not sure, though.

Sorry I can't be of more help to ya.

Thanks just the same, released the ones that my younger caught back to the wild (4 hermits, 3 snails) I didn't even notice them until this morning. Id rather spend another penny and everything goes swiftly. :)
