Gh0stlyWhale
What are some popular light fixtures that are used for pico tanks? Specifically a softie dedicated 4 gallon that is approximately 12" high. The closer to $50 the better. I have an SB reef light on my 40G that works wonders, but their nano light looks like it will fry softies at that distance. Link to comment
MedievalITGuy
I'm interested in what people have to say about this as well. I've got a pico bowl that ran me about $50-70 for the whole setup so far, and most of the recommendations I've seen out there run about twice the price of this combined. Link to comment
TheKleinReef
The best bang for your buck will be a PAR38 bulb. They'll run $90-100 but they pop up used for less all the time. Link to comment
lobster876
finnex fugeray led or marine wavepoint led both are on amazon and about 50 dollars Link to comment
Tuffryu
Ghostly, it might also help understand what you plan on for your livestock. If you're doing a bunch of mushrooms, the lighting requirements are not nearly as critical as caring for small polyp stonies or clams. I've owned the fugeray finnex and it was decent for lowlight polyps and stuff. Link to comment
supernip
try the flexi-mini led. roughly 50-60 on amazon; likely enough for softies and macros Link to comment
