sharknado
I have a 20 gallon long aquarium. I am currently running a 4bulb t5 setup, the fixtures I am using are 2 of the 2 bulb aquaticlife t5 fixtures.http://www.saltwatertogo.com/aquatic...k-fixture.htmlI am using ATI bulbs, I am using front to backpurple plusblue pluscoral plusblue plusI just bought a LED light fixture as an upgrade, I intend on using the aquarium mounts it comes with so it would be approx 8" from the top of the aquarium, so about 8.75" from the waterthe unit I bought is an ocean Revive Arctic-T247-Bhttps://addictiveaquaculture.com/en/...ter-light.htmlThe question I have is about approx what power level should i start off at, I will most like be running whites at 1/3 the power of the blue channel. I was originally think about 25 percent blue, 10 percent white to start, but that sounds kind of low, but I have some corals that I have owned for over 2 years and don't want to risk damaging them, so what would be a good option to start acclimating them, or there a method you can suggest to test my corals to see what they can handle off the bat etc? evilc66
There is always far less risk starting low than starting too high and bleaching your corals. What you are suggesting for a starting point is fine. Just watch the coral's reaction to the intensity, and adjust accordingly. The slower you bring up the intensity, the more success you will have. Clown79
Agree. Better safe than sorry. A lot of ppl under estimate LED and end melting their corals. I started off at 30% and it does look low but it didn't harm anything. I increased it by 3% each week. I went from led fixture to a more powerful led fixture so you starting at 20% from t5 to LEd should be good Link to comment
