Looking for quick verification on this meanwell PSU

Here is the datasheet of the Meanwell HLG-40H series. I am looking for a power supply to control the fans of my floating canopy with my Apex via 0-10V ports.

So based on the specs of the HLG-40H-12B if you connect the dimming signal to a 1-10V port it will work by varying the output voltage to the fan? The fans are Noctua Redux NF-P14 if that matters.

Nope. The 1-10v control will only adjust the current.

Dual mode power supplies like this aren't the easiest to use in constant voltage mode. I would look into another series of power supply that is just constant voltage. The Meanwell SPV-150-12 is controllable from a 1-5.5v signal from 20-110% output. You could connect it to the Apex through a voltage divider or a 5v zener diode.

Resistor Divider:

I've got something that will do what you want. I designed this originally as a drop in fan controller for LDD-H boards that didn't already have a fan controller. It's an SCW to LDD-H adapter with a 25Khz fan controller built-in.

In your case you'd only need the adapter Pcb and the simple resistor divider that Evil provided to make it work. Here's a photo.... Hit me up if you want one.

Ok so basically I just need that board, 12v power supply, and then 2x 10k resistors between the cat5 cable signal cable and this board?

Yep! That's all that's needed. Once it's wired up, your fans will spin up and down based on the 0 - 10V signal coming from your APEX. The switching is done at 25Khz, so your fans won't produce any annoying noise either.

Awesome do I still need pwm fans with this or can I use regulars? I'll send you a PM.
