theatrus
Thanks for the welcome Christopher! blueAcro is an expansion and refinement of equipment I have been building and running for many years, and focuses on providing equipment for advanced hobbyists to continue to explore and advance the hobby. The initial product lineup is around LED lighting, and aims to solve a number of shortcomings with both the normal do-it-yourself setups, while still keeping a budget in mind. Everything we make is built in the USA (Designed & Made in California) as much as we can, which allows us flexibility in custom orders and product launches. We use only top-shelf components, from suppliers such as Lumileds, Cree, Texas Instruments and others. Today, we have three main product lines: AcroStar LEDs High output, high density LED stars for the perfect color and shimmer. No disco lighting, no lens hot spots - AcroStar emitters feature dense, 3-watt LEDs in a multi-spectral array (total 24-48W per 2 inch star), with high PAR levels and available diffused reflectors for extra depth penetration, all featuring multiple (2-4) control channels. Standard with an easy to use solder-free wire connection system which accepts any off-the-shelf wire. Pricing ranges from $28-54, with a special violet spectrum in the 48W 16-up star running up to $78. We use Luxeon UV emitters for violet - while the most efficient on the market, they are quite expensive. Coming soon: Pro 24W 8-up AcroStar with Violet spectrum using Luxeon C and SemiLEDs LEDs! AcroStrip LEDs High output, miniature LED strip segments in a variety of spectrums. Each strip features 6 Lumileds Luxeon C and SemiLEDs Violet LEDs, in two channels, at up to 18W of total power in a very compact size. Standard with the same easy to use solder-free wire connection system. These guys measure a mere half inch in width and are just shy of 4 inches long each. AcroStrips are great for lighting builds which place the LEDs very close to the water, or in retrofit situations such as T5 augmentation. AcroIQ LED Drivers In both two and four channel configurations, we have LED drivers designed in tandem with our LED products. Our latest MicroDriver is designed to fit in a similar size space as the AcroStrip LEDs, and offers two 1A channels at up to 48V of input power, and can be current adjusted from 400-1000mA AND dimmed using a PWM dimmer. AcroLogic Bluetooth LED Lighting Controller Coming soon! A bluetooth controlled, stand-alone (cloud / internet free) LED controller for any PWM-compatible LED driver. 10 channels. Expansion bus. iOS and Android control applications. Stand-alone operation. No pairing, no internet. Target price: $49 Link to comment
iHexBot
Hello and welcome! How does the multimeter-par-thingy work? Do I really only need to buy PAR sensor and have a multimeter to get PAR readings for my tank? Link to comment
