Shoob1e
Hey folks we have had a 29biocube for a couple months now and my gf is basically taking it over so I'm looking for a little project for myself. The thing is I'm more interested in a long aio tank somewhere between a 10-15g. Does anyone know a company that makes something close to that. I recently saw the 13.5 fluva but its more square than long. the Mr. Aqua is a nice tank but its just the tank not a AIO that im looking for. the IM tanks are also a little more square than i'd like. thanks in advance! seabass
How about a IM 20 Gallon NUVO Fusion or maybe a JBJ 20 Rimless Link to comment
Friendly
there is also the new Fluval Evo 12 (actually 13.3 gallons with fuge). Link to comment
Scorched
The IM Nuvo Fusion 30 (While 30g) is going to have similar dimensions to the Mr Aqua tanks. Both will be 36" long. The Nuvo just takes up more space due to the larger filtration area in the back and being a few inches taller. Link to comment
ReefWeeds
I have a mr Aqua 12 and turned it into an AIO with a kit from ocean box designs. Works great. Also check out DM's tank. Ocean box did one for him too. Link to comment
Oceanbox Designs
A custom AIO insert can turn any regular glass rimless tank into an AIO. Take a look at AquaMaxx 12L/22L or Mr Aqua 12L/22L My tank running an external mini sump (I considered it an external AIO): http://www.nano-reef.com/topic/342379-12g-long-oceanbox-new-fts-since-april-happy-4th-of-july/?p=4658592 Mr Aqua 22L w/Custom AIO Insert: http://www.nano-reef.com/topic/370821-the-dons-mr-aqua-22l-w-oceanbox/#entry5269087 Reef-Ready AIO Conversion Kit: https://oceanboxdesigns.com/products/reef-conversion/ Link to comment

gmanreefer
where does one get a custom AIO insert? or do you have to do a hack job yourself? Check out oceanbox designs! I was very satisfied with the DIY sump I put together with their custom baffles. Some videos on youtube of another member on here making the 12g long mr aqua with an oceanbox custom insert Link to comment

asting
Jeez those are pricey. Those are what, 3-4x what bad fish charged? Definitely worth DIY at those prices. Link to comment
Shoob1e
there is also the new Fluval Evo 12 (actually 13.3 gallons with fuge). I just saw this as much as I was looking forward to it, it's very much of a cube more than rectangle. Would be an awesome peninsula style tank though. The IM Nuvo Fusion 30 (While 30g) is going to have similar dimensions to the Mr Aqua tanks. Both will be 36" long. The Nuvo just takes up more space due to the larger filtration area in the back and being a few inches taller. I keep going back to this tank, but being 30g and already having thr biocube I juse wanted something smaller for myself. I've already decided if I do a 30l I'm just going to go larger around 55 with the I'M tank I have a mr Aqua 12 and turned it into an AIO with a kit from ocean box designs. Works great. Also check out DM's tank. Ocean box did one for him too. Everything with the oceanbox work well? I just talked to him over email and am really thinking about going with it. Link to comment

If you mention you're from Nano-reef.com and I'll send you a 25% OFF coupon (limited offer). I'm a sponsor here so your support is what allows me to continue to develop new products and stay in business and I'd really appreciate that. It's already very hard to be hand making the product myself, unit by unit, and compete with large companies. I understand the DIY route coming from that myself but im sure you'd at least agree sometime DIY simply can't beat a professional product and if you're going to setup a reef tank, do what will make you happy in the long run and not on an impulse. Think about your setup and how it will mature and if you will still like how it is 2-3 years from now. Just some clarification on Badfish AIO kits: Badfish kits (discontinued) use cheap ABS plastic with 3 empty chambers (nothing wrong but it's just that), i could do a kit like that for that price but instead I'd like to offer a complete high quality kit so I opted to use high quality 1/4" cell-cast acrylic and CNC cut weir and with removable media racks built-in, therefore it's not exactly apple to apple comparison. My kit also comes with original loc-line return nozzle and other plumbing fittings with flex tubing to pump out of the box. Link to comment
xilez
I have the POB Sump from OceanBox for my Mr Aqua 12L (you can see my build thread link in my sig below, quite a few pictures of it), and although it's a bit different than the AIO you are looking are at, I can't comment highly enough on the quality of this product. It's extremely sturdy, polished, and provides a true WOW factor. I have no doubt this craftsmanship is carried throughout all of OceanBox's products. Link to comment
Friendly
yes, the Evo 12 isn't as rectangular as most of us probably would like, but it does solve the primary complaint against the V, that it's too skinny, making the reef more difficult to setup and allow for space for proper glass cleaning. that said, the IM 20 is just a hair bigger and gives you close to 2x the capacity. you've got to add all the bits though, Link to comment

Jofiel
I'm starting a new budget friendly tank and I bought an Aqua Japan AJ-60 all in one (24 gallon) for just over a hundred bucks delivered. I'm happy with the quality for the price. It took some major hunting around on google to find one but I'm stoked. The have a 10 gallon (AJ-45) and 15 gallon (AJ-50). I saw those from $50-$90. Here's a thread that shows one set up. http://www.nano-reef.com/topic/370598-new-to-the-nanosfirst-attempt-aqua-japan-aj45/ Link to comment
