I think I am going to go back to T5 for this set up. I haven't used T5 in many, many years, though my friend's reef inspired me to go back to T5.

My order from BRS will be here on Wednesday. I am going to gather some plumbing parts and a new piece of plywood for the top of the stand to accommodate for the overflow boxes of the 120.

I got all my bulbs today. None of them broken. Really impressed with the shipping packaging. I went with 4 blue plus, 1 purple plus, and one coral plus. I plugged them in tonight to make sure the fixture worked before I tore down the box the ATI came in. The light is sooooo bright

The tank will be delivered, hopefully, on Wednesday. I decided I'm not going to move it and just pay someone to move it for me. Not to mention lifting it on my 42" stand

After some set backs, some family matters and life in general getting in the way, the 120 will be delivered tomorrow! So stoked

I've also decided to not use sand in this build. I'm completely over the maintenance. First reef I've ever done substrate free

Something in my living room that is the largest item in the room is taking forevvvvveeeerrrrrrrrrrrr to fill up with water.

The tank delivery was delayed until today. The reef shop delivered it promptly and it literally took them 10 minutes to move the tank from truck to stand. Super impressed and I am never picking up an aquarium myself ever again.

I didn't leave the RO unit on overnight. I'be read too many horror stories about floods.

I need to get some shims for the stand this morning before I start filling again. The water on the right corners are ever so slightly higher than the left corners.

Thanks Jackie! Will I see you tonight at the club meeting?

Sorry I just saw this! I rarely make it to them, I really need to try but Thursday nights are just busy with three kids!

I usually never go to them. I don't really benefit from going, usually. I only went to get the coral for the coral grow out contest.

Update time (with way overdue pictures)

Things are already encrusting and growing pretty well. Water chemistry has been rock solid. I have no complaints about anything.

This was the, literal, 5 minutes I didn't have a reef tank.

Not a crack, just impatience

Find the fish!

I will take some better pictures with my Nikon tomorrow. I have to take pictures of a coral that is the specimen for a frag grow out contest. I will take some close ups of some corals and fish, even including the mangled orchid acropora that's had a rough go lately.

I put the Gyre on the back panel in between the overflow boxes. Seems to be hitting all the coral more evenly now. I'm going to try it out for a little while and see if it works out or not.

Aaaaaaand cue bacteria bloom. Weighing my options on how to deal with it.

Also, here is my view from my spot on the couch.

This is awesome. It's like a propaganda pic of Hitler, or Trump, whichever works.

Seriously though. Looks good. Following~
