Reef Breeders
Hey guys, We've been working on some stuff for our Nano Tank hobbyists, and have more coming soon, like an affordable all-in-one tank package! Today we are rolling out the new Nano Light Basic, which comes with a tank mounting bracket, and 2 on/off switches, with a 14,000K overall output for $84.99 shipped to your door, with a 2-year USA warranty. The light is 20watts of pure LED power, and is great for small mixed reef tanks on a budget. You can find more info on our website here: https://www.reefbreeders.com/shop/nano-light-basic/ Link to comment
ezcompany
sweet, are there any par values or LED bulb details we can look at? Link to comment
Reef Breeders
I will get some readings for you guys, there is a currently one of the aio tanks mentioned on its way to our warehouse for setup, it will use this light. In any case, the output will be about 50% more than a PAR38 bulb, and with better spread, plus a built in fan for longevity. Link to comment
Teach
How many gallons is the AIO tank? Link to comment
Reef Breeders
They are around 8 gallons for one size, 12 for the other Link to comment
smellsfishy0
Would this be ok over a standard 10g? I have the value fixture but don't feel like figuring out a way to hang it. Link to comment
Reef Breeders
The Nano Light Basic would be a great fit for a 10 gallon tank. Link to comment
Jofiel
Oh! This is exactly the kind of thing I have been looking for for my little 9.5 gallon bowfront! Can't wait to see some data and more pictures! Link to comment
saxybrian
I just purchased one of these. The colors are great. My tank is a 2.6 Gal Pico and may be a little too small for this light. But I think it will be just fine. My question is how is the growth with these lights? I had a Par38 before. It didn't have very good color seeing as it was from ABI. But it grew coral like crazy. Will I have growth like this from this light? Also is this too much light for my tiny 2.6 Pico? It is a mixed with 60% sps and 40% softies. Thanks Link to comment
ajmckay
Pretty bad ass... It's amazing how often the question gets asked "best cheap light". Often they just go get a Chinese fixture that's probably way overkill and bad coloration but a good value from a power/$ perspective. The consensus with lighting is to err on the side of too much light instead of too little. Having a truly low cost option in the nano sphere from a reputable source is truly awesome. As long as the coloration is reasonable I think these should be popular. Link to comment

In addition to that the built in fans will increase the longevity of the light by years compared to a PARbulb. Pretty bad ass... It's amazing how often the question gets asked "best cheap light". Look out for some more new products arriving soon. Link to comment
schudini
Will this fit inside of a gutted 12 gallon Nanocube hood? Link to comment
debbeach13
Looks like this maybe a great option for many people. Can not wait to see some coral growth results. Might be tempted to revive the JBJ3 gallon pico. Link to comment
Reef Breeders
Will this fit inside of a gutted 12 gallon Nanocube hood? I don't see why not, you may want to move/expose the buttons somehow so you can adjust the light inside the hood. They new version has touch sensitive buttons and Cree LEDs so you can dim/adjust the color of the light. Link to comment
