flatlandreefer
Does anybody know what is on the stalk of my trumpet coral? It looks like little encrusted snails. Link to comment

ReefSafeSolutions
Ok, I was worried it was vermetid snails at first Even if it was vermetid snails I wouldn't be concerned. I have a few on a few of my corals, they're no big deal. Some say they can irritate the coral but I've never seen it in my tank. Link to comment
mystersyster
I have those bastards all over my clam shells. They are growing quickly on the back wall of my tank as well. These grow crazy but my coralline dies ? Link to comment
Spec
Could also be spaghetti worms, they release threads out into the water during feeding, or if you stir up the tank, fairly harmless, but can irritate corals. I remove them manually by scraping. Link to comment
nancymatthews
I have those on my torch and branching hammer. And in my skimmer. Link to comment
