fishguy122
Hi, so after having a break from the last time I was on here, my 5 g tank has finally cycled and live added the clean up crew (sexy shrimp, blue legged hermit and a completely white little hitchhiker crab, oh and a hitchhiker star fish as well). I also added some easy corals (GSP, and a couple of mushrooms). My questions are: What is your opinion on the rock scape? And what would be good positions for other corals I get in the future? (E.g. id like to get a wavy, tendril coral for at the back on the flat bit. https://imgur.com/Qa3nEFK Cheers Link to comment
TheKleinReef
I really like the scape. Can you get to the side walls easily to clean? Also, what lighting are you using? Link to comment
fishguy122
Cheers yeah I can get to clean everywhere quite easily (I just haven't really cleaned yet haha). And I'm getting an led light soon that's 12000k and 1130 lumen- good enough for coral growth I think?? Link to comment
flatlandreefer
I like it! I think it will provide a lot of options for coral placement and will look good when grown out. Link to comment
Clown79
Looks good. You have so many options on where to place coral Link to comment
fishguy122
Thannk you everyone! I tried to design it around a large surface area for coral placement. Today I got a new coral, can't remember the name but its basically a beginner coral (ill get a pic if it opens up a bit). I also noticed I head a bit of red algae (cyano?) growing on the sand bed. After looking at my filter I realised it was because there was a load of gunk at the bottom which was adding a bunch of nasties to the tank! Its removed now and I did a 50% pwc so everything should go back to normal soon. https://imgur.com/fZoL73J Link to comment
fishguy122
Just an update on the coral - amazingly all the polyps have opened up already! That's surely a great sign?! Link to comment
