Aquaforest: What is it? How do I start?

I am not an employee of Aquaforest but rather a hobbyist trying to inform those who may be unaware of or don't know a lot about the brand Aquaforest. I just started the AF Probiotic method on my newest tank and I have received some questions over the past few weeks regarding the use of AF products. I've been following a thread on R2R for a while now learning and asking questions to the folks there that work for AF. So I decided to try and start a thread here where everyone can post their experiences with these products as well as try and help out anyone that may be interested.

Aquaforest is a system designed to use bacteria populations to break down phosphate and nitrate with an end goal of achieving an Ultra Low Nutrient System (ULNS). ULNS can be risky without proper coral nutrition resulting in pale colors, polyp retraction, and tissue necrosis. To assure that this doesn't happen, Aquaforest has specific supplements designed to provide the necessary vitamins/foods that corals need.

Below I linked the URL for the AF product guide which will tell you everything you need to get started based on your system type. Keep in mind that the guide provides the "All Out" products. I know a lot of people that have started with the main 5 (Reef Salt/Probiotic Salt, Components 1+ 2+ 3+, BIO S, Pro Bio S, NP Pro) and have slowly progressed as needed.

Also here is the link to the AF site

Some common retailers that I have seen are Amazon, Salty Supply and Drs. Foster and Smith

If you have any questions just post em here and I will try to help as much as possible. Hopefully some other AF product users will chime in as well.
