blasterman Posted September 15, 2016 Share Posted September 15, 2016 If you want short wavelength light use 420nm actinic and see how well that works for you. There's been little evidence that short wavelength blue (<450nn) or uv-a grows anything better than common 450-460 blue other than short wavelength lit tanks are darker and tend to be more violet looking. DaveFason Posted September 15, 2016 Share Posted September 15, 2016 Like blaster said 420 it is. The photo you copied is from the Philips Coral Care and they use ~ 415-430 on top of the normal royals. Most reef LED lights have this as well. ~ 410-450 of some sort. -Dave Link to comment
