Can the continuum magnesium powder be mixed with Kalk?

Hello, I had't tested Magnesium in a while and I tested today and it was at 980. I top off my tank with Kalkwasser. I was wondering if I could add the dry Continuum brand magnesium powder to the top off bucket with Kalkwasser? Because my Mg is so low I figure it will take a few days to raise it to the desired level so I wanted to do this via top off. Any thoughts are appreciated!

Kalk will precipitate magnesium. So, to answer your question. No, you can't mix them together. I would suggest dosing it manually. If you drip kalk at night, dose mag during the day. If you dose kalk continuously through the the day, just dose mag once or twice a day between the kalk. It won't take you long to raise your mag. And once it's up, kalk won't precipitate it quickly. So, once it's up, dosing once every week, or two, should be fine.
