I hate to say it,but a "sps friendly" light for $200 isn't gonna happen, respectfuly. You're going to have to shell.out $350-$400 to get something to cover the length and height of your tank.

Unless you go halides, which someone is selling one on here for $30.

What is wrong with MH? If heat is not an issue I would go old school.................the shimmer is awesome and they can make a turd look great!

I am running a single ended radium over a 40 breeder and growth is great!

Thanks for your helpful suggestions. As my tank is 24" planning to buy 2x36W and 1x12w ABI full actinic to put it in the middle. Also planning to build a good looking fixture using PVC pipe. Lets see how it goes and how it looks.

Not sure how good a PVC homemade structure will look.

Why not one of the 155W or 180W LED fixtures you can get for under $100? They claim to cover 2ft, and people use them for slightly longer tanks.
