Flame angel dead, what to do with damsel :( Help plz!

So I bought a flame angel and a talbot damsel quite a while ago. I did the tank transfer method to treat them for ich and was successful. They were supposed to get out of QT in a week. So my dilemma. On Saturday, I was watching the QT, and the flames tail got stuck to the filter. I immediately shut it off and it swam away. I turned the setting on the filter down. Today, I can home and the flame was stuck to the filter by the dorsal fin, nose up. I turned the filter off. It was still alive. It's been a couple hours, and it tries to swim but it goes nose up a lot, and now it's starting to lay on its side. I really don't want to give up on this fish. Is there anything I can do to help it? I'm worried that there is something else wrong with it because I don't see how a totally healthy fish could get stuck to a filter. Should I put the damsel in the DT? It seems fine, but I don't want to risk it's health too. QT is a 10 gallon with an AC20 on it and a heater. They've been in it for 3 weeks with no issues until Saturday. The only meds I have on hand are prazipro (which they were treated with during TTM) and metroplex. Not sure if dosing those would be of any help. I really suck at ID'ing diseases, but if I had to guess I'd go with an internal bacterial infection? Thanks in advance,

Unfortunately when I woe up this morning the flame was dead :(. I'm not sure if it helps, but its corpse is discolored in the mid section and the fins are frayed. Now my options with the talbot:

1. Add it to the DT now.

2. Add it to the DT in a week when its 4 weeks of observation are up

3. Treat it with metroplex and kanaplex in case there is another disease, observe for a week or two and add it to the DT.

Sorry you lost the fish.

How long were they in QT? Personally, I would not add it to the DT yet without more observation. Did you test the QT to rule out ammonia?

It's possible the tank transfer method was not successful. To know more would need to know the specifics of the treatment process used.

The major downside of the tank transfer method is that you have to handle the fish a lot. Netting can cause small injuries that may get infected. So it's completely possible that there was a secondary infection. Some people recommend treating with an antibiotic at the same time. Treating with Prazi is also a great idea - but could be delayed until after the ich treatment to minimize stress.

As for the damsel - I would re-start it's QT time. I generally go 3 weeks QT from the last symptom/end of treatment.

After the tank transfer they had been in the QT for three weeks as of yesterday. I don't have an ammonia test, but I've been doing lots of water changes, dosing prime and the damsel is still acting normal.

For the Tank Transfer, I moved them to a new bucket/tank less than every 72 hours for a total of 13 days. Everything was sterilized in between transfers. They were treated with prazipro for the first 9 days. They haven't had ich since. Would it take 3 weeks for the infection to set in? I haven't touched them since they were transferred into the 10 gallon QT 3 weeks ago. Also, I didn't net the flame, I caught it in a colander because I was worried it's gill would get caught in the net. The treatment ended three weeks ago and the damsel hasn't shown any symptoms. Bummer that it has to stay in there for another three :( Do you think I should use any meds or just observe?

I seriously have no idea what happened with the flame. I think getting stuck to the filter did damage that it couldn't bounce back from :(
