Acan on turning brown

Hi guys. Just want for some opinion on my acan they turn to brownish color my water parameters are on stable side now Just dosed my tank mg it was 1200 and now on after series of wc went to 1400. Ca is on 470. Nitrates on steady 5ppm here and there. Lighting is ai prime on fluval edge 6g almost 4" from water surface. Ai runs from 830-5 with ramp up of 2hrs. I just bump my settings to 48% on db,uv,b 10% on red and green 19% cool white.

At first aquasd told me not for them to be under direct lighting but they its already brown so i moved it where it is now.. The one i havedirectly under the light somehow has some purplish color but mostly brown if i have my whites on.

On the side note other that my paly i have lnt notice any new heads on my corals. I have duncan gsp(new polyps but not expanding) blasto(recovering from accident)

You didn't mention the most important parameter, Alk.

 

The acans are nice and puffy and look healthy so it's either lack of light or the wrong spectrum of light.

My alk is on 9. They are puffy but the coloration just keeps me worried. I got one from aqua sd the one in the middle its was supposed to be reddish with a washed out white on the sides but not its just banded brown. A little bit of red when i turned my white off. Im using ai prime

I had red scans that turned orange/brownish under just blue and white LEDs...I'm convinced there's something in the UV, green, or red spectrum that acans like, because as soon as I had it under full spectrum lights, the color came back within a couple of days.

 

What makes me curious is that you've got the full spectrum going on and your percentages seem good to me. My dad's percentages are very similar, and his acans have great color. You mentioned that your parameters are stable "now." Does that mean they weren't stable for a while beforehand? How long has the acan been in your tank?

My mg went to 1200 and i have to dose it and do series of 20%wc but i had my acan for more than a month now but the one in the middle just under one month.

the one in the middle i got it from aquasd so it was a little brown probably from shipping thenGot more brown. The rest was a little bit brownish.

sir the bigger issue here is you are housing a sea turtle in your small aquarium, they need at least a 300 gallon system naw I'm messin lol but I agree with up above!

Turn you light down to 25-30% and or put it in a shady spot. I would also raise the light a bit 8 inches seems to be the sweet spot for my tank. The acans don't like tons of light. Everything I see in your tank will do very well under lower light settings with the prime.

Its funny your not the only one who asked me about the turtle. I think everybody asked me about it. Dont worry its fake im going to get probably dragons breath or something bushy like xenia on that side of the turtle. One of my acan is improving its color to reddish. Its just the middle one who is a little bit brown. But on my blue it some of its tainted red comes out.my monti and birdsnest are starting to grow but not my duncan that i always feed. I have him for 2 months and still not growing any new heads. All my corals gets plumed up when my lights on and my numbers are on the good side like my lfs said to me.
