SubMariner0805
Hey everyone, I bought a little bit of Red Gracilaria from Reef Cleaners to put in my display because I liked the color and wanted some movement (no corals yet), I'm introducing animal life slowly. Anyway, after about two days it started turning green. I read online a little and people seem to suggest that this is due to too much light. My first question is, can anyone confirm that this is the cause? My second question is, if I move it to a more shady area, will the red come back or is it a lost cause at this point. Thanks! seabass
You might try asking John at Reef Cleaners. I'm not sure. Is it a pale green? My first thought was that it doesn't have enough nutrients. Link to comment
gulfsurfer101
I find gracillara locally right onshore and most of the deeper stuff is usually green! I notice the reef stuff closer to the surface or even washed up on the shore dying. I would just be happy it's still alive lol! Link to comment
