Jayva
I'm running Purigen in my 6G since about 12 hours now. You can't even tell theirs water in the tank. It's like the fish are floating in mid air. I had to look closely to see bubbles move. I haven't checked the nitrates if they dropped them yet. But if you want crystal. Crystal isn't the word. HD water clarity. Toss a bag of Purigen in your hob filter sandwiched between filter floss. My lights turned off. Tomorrow I'll add a pic. It's truly amazing. Link to comment

Balix
never did much for me besides water is a bit more clear but my rox carbon does the same. I dose nopox so didn't have a need for it. Phosphate is more of an issue. Link to comment

Phosphate is more of an issue. I don't have a phos tester kit. But I have phosgaurd. Didn't install it yet. I like Seachem products. I use all their dry goods. Link to comment
Clown79
You will want to test phos when using phosphate removers/reducers. You don't want to strip the tank, a little bit of phos is actually good for the tank. Link to comment
Balix
Start about 1/4 to 1/3 of the recommended amount. However, for a six gallon, water changes is probably good enough Link to comment
