Bobyboy
I just ran across one of these at a LFS and was impressed with the design and how cool it is compared to a standard 14g with the compact fluorescent lights. Has any one had any experience with one yet? http://www.coralifeproducts.com/product/led-biocube/ Link to comment
davidcwoods
Tons of people have been using these. Myself included have a Biocube 29 set up. I used this link to get mine running successful! They have their pros and cons but I think it's a great intro tank and looks sharp. http://www.nano-reef.com/topic/180788-the-biocube-resource-guide/ Link to comment

scurvy dawg
I have one (32 gal) and I am in week two of my cycle. I few things... They got rid of the back access door. The hood above the rear chambers has less clearance than the 29. An issue if you want to use a skimmer The tank is taller than the 29, so you can not use the intank media basket for Biocube 29 without making it taller. My fan is pretty quiet, but have heard other people complain about the noise of the fan. It's a single fan and can easily be replaced. The Bioballs are history as is the max line on the side window. I really like the built in light timer. The LED's are only good for corals requiring mid to low lighting. It's got the same return pump as the 29 so I replaced that first thing. The new stand is average at best. Overall, I like the tank and it looks great with the streamlined hood. Link to comment
Friendly
hey scurvy, can you tell a bit more about the lights? do they have options to upgrade the bulbs or would it be a full replacement? I'm somewhat concerned about this, as the tanks are taller, making the light reaching the bottom pretty weak, perhaps too weak for simple softies. Link to comment
Bobyboy
Thanks for the info, I think I'll stick with an older model and DIY LED's Link to comment

Not really sure, but I think you would have to do a full replacement by the way it looks. Link to comment
Volnation
I have the new led 16 gallon. The lights, from comparing a friends 29 biocube to the new one are not even close. Par for the light system is way above and beyond the old lighting system. My tank is working perfectly right now. Link to comment
